Laminar Flow Üniteleri (LAF)

The MEGE Laminar Flow Unit is a high-efficiency air distribution plenum designed to deliver unidirectional, laminar airflow with uniform velocity across the protected area. It effectively reduces particulate and microbial contamination by maintaining controlled airflow patterns and creating a continuous sweeping effect that minimizes turbulence and prevents re-entrainment of airborne particles.

Technical Specifications

MEGE Laminar Flow Unit is constructed from stainless steel, offering high resistance to the abrasive and chemical effects of disinfectants commonly used in controlled and sterile environments.

At the center of the MEGE Laminar Flow Unit, a large mounting opening is provided to accommodate and conceal the operating theatre lamp mounting flange along with associated electrical components, ensuring a flush and unobstructed installation.

The MEGE Laminar Flow Unit is equipped with an integrated test channel designed to verify the airtightness between the filter housing and the filter sealing interface, ensuring reliable leak-free performance.

During manufacturing, leak tightness testing is performed in accordance with DIN 25414 standard. A test aerosol sampling probe is utilized to measure the aerosol concentration at the filter inlet, enabling precise verification of the filter sealing integrity.

MEGE Laminar Flow Units are selected based on the dimensions of the protected area and the specific requirements of the operating room to ensure optimal airflow performance and contamination control.

The size of the protected area varies depending on the type and duration of the operation. The airflow rate is designed to provide a minimum of 25 air changes per hour (ACH), with a minimum airflow capacity of 2400 m³/h to ensure effective contamination control.
